Doesn't the rise of Mitt Romney show how Republicans have changed their views markedly over time?

The Republitar.....sorry.....Republicans always claimedd to be about smaller government, lower taxes, less spending, and generally less intrusion into personal lives. Now look at what they present as their supposedly "best" candidate. An abortion flip-flopper, a healthcare flip-flopper, a 2nd amendment flip-flopper. The list is endless. The truth is: the world is becoming more liberal, therefore the republitar.....sorry(why do I keep doing that)....republicans are changing their views and becoming more compionate, more caring, less bigoted and generally more liberal. Now we have two liberal parties in America....OMG
