For those who traveled to foreign continents: what were your best experiences?
Oh you are very fortunate indeed! I spent a year in 1988 all over the U.K. and met some wonderful people- especially the farther north I went. Lots of complete strangers invited me in from the pub for a cuppa! LOL I got completely lost in London, until I figured out the Tube. But, it's sort of fun to get lost in a foreign country! You never know what'll happen. I will never forget that year. I spent my 26th birthday there. My happiest moment was on my birthday (May 29) and it was raining, and I was walking across the street from Marble Arch, and I looked around the sky and the London cabbies and other cars waiting for the light, and I felt the purest sense of happiness. I don't understand people who don't have any sort of interest in seeing the world.
